Engineering Director, Product & Tools

Leadership and development of an engineering area in a market-leading company working within the green transition

Standardization ● Technical assurance ● Improvement of internal procedures and systems
You are overall responsible for Nature Energy’s Product and Tools area which consists of 4 departments and 20 employees. The area designs and delivers technical standard solutions and plant units to our project engineering department, who design large-scale Biogas plants.

Furthermore, this role carries the ownership of the Technical Assurance framework, including the needed governance to obtain necessary approvals of design. Lastly, this role holds a purpose to continuously improve Engineering tools and processes, which supports Engineering efficiency and quality of data and design.

The position is a leadership position on Director level, with a focus on further professionalizing Nature Energy’s standardization, Technical Assurance, and Engineering processes and tools.

Your key responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead and develop an engaged and skilled team of leaders and engineers
• Collaboration and Communication: bridging between Executive Management and employees and interacting with stakeholders to maintain trust and serves as a point of contact for Product & Tools staff.
• Standardization: Allocates resources for the timely release of standard modules, coordinates with third-party engineering resources, and improves release management and planning capabilities.
• Technical Assurance: Establishes and manages technical assurance framework, ensures technical assurance across engineering teams and projects, and coordinates with Shell and HSE stakeholders.
• Processes & Tools: Maintains and improves working procedures and system functionality, participates in cross-functional improvement projects, and optimizes internal workflows and supporting systems.

You work actively for a positive collaborative climate in the organization with a special focus on promoting cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire value chain in Nature Energy.

Your workplace will be at our office in Aarhus or Støvring. The employees are spread across our three Danish offices in Støvring, Odense, and Aarhus. Therefore, presence at all three offices is an integral aspect of this position.

Visionary Engineering Leader with International Experience
You have proven leadership experience within an engineering organization in an international environment and you have experience with line management and managing large departments and budgets. You have a relevant technical background as an engineer or similar and experience with standardization and the ability to work in a global matrix setup.

As a leader, you have strong cross-functional leadership skills, including the ability to build relationships and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders. Through a problem-solving mindset, you analyze business problems to reach innovative, cost-effective, and timely decisions that fit the entire organization’s needs. To do that, you foster a culture where people constantly learn and grow through ongoing development and feedback.
